Here are some of the trending health topics to look out for ...

Matcha
Bright green Matcha powder in a bowl, showcasing its vibrant color and fine texture, ready to be whisked into tea or used in various recipes.
This vibrant green delight is taking the world and instagram by storm.  I've even seen matcha donuts appearing (seriously).
Matcha is a Japanese green tea and is packed with health benefits
  • antioxidants - 137 times more than green tea!
  • boosts metabolism and burns calories
  • detoxifies effectively and naturally
  • calms the mind and relaxes the body
  • rich in fiber, chlorophyll and vitamins
  • mood and aids in concentration enhancer
  • has vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc and magnesium
  • increases immune system
  • reports to lower cholesterol and blood sugar

Turmeric

Ground Turmeric powder in a small bowl, highlighting its rich golden-yellow color and fine texture, perfect for adding flavor and color to dishes.
Not exactly new or ground breaking I know but the turmeric trend continues with lots of google trend hits.
Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory & anti-oxidant that has been used for thousands of years in India.
The medicinal component of tumeric is curcuminoid.  Unfortunately curcuminoids are not absorbed into the bloodstream easily so if using tumeric in cooking it is best mixed with peppercorns to increase absorpton.

Mindfulness
Serene mindfulness practice scene featuring a person meditating in a peaceful setting, surrounded by nature or calming elements, reflecting a focus on relaxation and mental well-being.
Again, not exactly new to the scene but mindfulness continues to trend upwards.  Mindfulness can be used in all aspects of life.  Lecturers at Endeavour College often begin lectures with a mindfulness session to make sure students are in the zone.
Mindfulness is a great tool for health & wellbeing.

Nutrition for your Genes
Illustrative guide to a diet for DNA health, featuring a plate of nutrient-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins, emphasizing balanced nutrition to support genetic well-being.
Nutrition and diets have come a long way since the blood type diet.  Did you ever think it was strange that we could fit everyone into 4 diet types, A, B, AB, O??  I did!  Anyway, that theory has been shot to pieces by science, the new kid on the block is genetic testing to find out if you carry snps (pronounced snips) or mutations on your genes that can make you more likely to react or have health problems when consuming certain nutrients, including; caffeine, gluten, saturated fats, iron & many others.  Nutrigenomix offers a gene test for 45 genes that are specific to nutrition.  Contact me for further information on this.

Hygge
Hygge (pronounced hue-gah) is a Danish word that means being cosy, warm & fuzzy, and creating a feeling or mood that comes from taking genuine pleasure in making every day moments more meaningful & beautiful.
A little like mindfulness, but so much cuter, Hygge (pronounced hue-gah) is a Danish word that means being cosy, warm & fuzzy, and creating a feeling or mood that comes from taking genuine pleasure in making every day moments more meaningful & beautiful.

The art was created by the Danish to relieve boredom, cold, & dark. With so many cold, dark, days, the simple act of a lighting a candle to have with a meal and making the table looking pretty, can create a warmth within.
