tofu is a wonderful source of protein, this dish is so easy to prepare and delicious.
Recipe (2 serves as mains) 2 tbsp Basic chilli paste * 5 button mushrooms 200gm firm tofu (mashed) 1 pc shallot sliced 1 pc garlic sliced finely 1 red chilli sliced and deseeded salt & peper method combine all ingredients including seasoning in a bowl. prepare banana leaf by rinsing and heat over an open flame for a few seconds or in pan, to help make pliable. Place tofu mix and fold leaf together. Secure the banana leaf pocket with toothpicks. Steam banana leaf for 20 minutes - serve with salad. * Chilli paste - can use pre prepared indonesian chilli paste or try my BASE GEDE homemade spicy chilli paste recipe.
